Al Mafraq Hospital project expansion

Tripling treatment rooms

Al Mafraq Hospital, one of the oldest of Abu Dhabi’s hospitals, built a new energy-efficient building that recycles wastewater, uses fibre-optical interior sun lighting and solar panels. The new extension tripled the number of treatment rooms to provide 690 beds. The site spanned an area of over 300,000 square metres with a built-up area of nearly 250,000 square metres.
