Ducab breaks ground on new headquarters facility while honoring Year of Zayed

Ducab has broken ground on its new global headquarters building in Jebel Ali. The ground-breaking ceremony was attended by Eng. Jamal Salem Al Dhaheri, Chairman of Ducab; Dr. Ahmad bin Hassan Al Shaikh, Vice Chairman of Ducab; Mabkhoot Al Menhali, Ducab board member and Andrew Shaw, Managing Director at Ducab alongside Richard Beard, Managing Director of Ramboll Middle East and Asia; and John E. The new Ducab headquarters will be environmentally responsive, built to achieve a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification when completed in 2019. The three-storey headquarters facility will have a total built-up area of 4,053 square metres, with a roof deck garden. Alongside its commitment to environmental conservatism, Ducab will echo the area’s indigenous plant life by creating a tree plantation alongside the facility.
